The purpose of this role is to support the administration of cancer pathways by tracking the progress of patients with suspected cancer from referral through their diagnosis, first definitive treatment (FDT), and subsequent treatment if applicable.


The post holder will liaise with clinicians, administrators, and managers in each tumour group as well as support services such as diagnostics to assist with the compliance against Cancer Wait Times (CWT) standards.

This role should ensure comprehensive patient tracking in order to expedite and achieve faster diagnosis (FDS).


Particular areas of focus will include maintaining precise records of key pathway dates and seeking/requesting auditable evidence to demonstrate the meeting of standards such as FDS, Inter-Provider Transfer (IPT) and FDT.

The post also supports the running of regular Multidisciplinary Team meetings (MDTs), including recording outcomes and ensuring comprehensive data entry, e.g.

COSD.

We would be happy to consider internal secondments to this role.
