About the Trust
Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the thriving heart of the local community.
Comprising Wirral's only Emergency Department, it is one of the biggest and busiest acute NHS trusts in the North West.
Providing a comprehensive range of high-quality acute care services, serving a population of about 400,000 people across Wirral, Ellesmere Port, Neston, North Wales, and the wider North West footprint.
Based in 4 locations Arrowe Park Hospital, Clatterbridge Hospital, and Wirral Women and Children's Hospital.What you'll be responsible for:
- To maintain proficiency & accuracy in the use of medical terminology
- To undertake the filing of letters and diagnostic results into patients case notes, following Health Records Guidelines
- To undertake for each speciality, the sorting and tracking of case notes, returning back to file, putting into labelled boxes ready for collection by portering staff
- To locate and retrieve cases notes, from various areas of the Trust using the case note tracking system ensuring case notes are tracked to the correct locations on the computer system at all times
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
- Previous experience in audio typing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both on own initiative and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiar with Medical Terminology (Desirable).
