Do you want to help address one of the biggest public health challenges in the care of children and families? Would you like to transform the way services are delivered in Salford?


We are looking to appoint a Trauma Responsive Practitioner to work alongside a Senior Trauma Responsive Practitioner to help drive forward an ambitious plan to make Salford a Trauma informed and Trauma responsive city.

Trauma responsive care is critical for reducing the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), improving outcomes and changing lives.

We want to develop a citywide approach anchored in principles that take a holistic view of needs, are person-centred and support resilience.


The role will support staff across services to implement Trauma responsive approaches, working with children and families in individual cases as required.

There will also be a focus on parents, supporting their health and wellbeing to improve outcomes for children.


This role will be based in The Bridge (Salford Bridge Partnership) and is employed in partnership with the Greater Manchester Resilience Hub.


The Trauma Responsive Practitioner will work alongside the Senior Trauma Responsive Practitioner to support the development of a Trauma responsive approach across the Salford system.

They will maintain strong links with multi-agency partners. They will work with staff, adults, children and families to support embedding trauma responsive principles across services.
