Wakefield Special Educational Needs Assessment and Review Team (SENART) have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Project Support Officer to their already established team.

The primary role of the post is to support the Business Co-Ordinator to manage data and information within SENART in order to liaise effectively with Financial Services and CommissioningServices to ensure accurate payments and placements in regards to children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans and to manage allocated projects within the team.

The post is part of a central team with responsibilities around data, reporting and payments to educational providers to meet the needs of Wakefield learners.

The post holder will be expected to work with a range of professionals to ensure the effective administration of data and finance functions related to specific learners and the district as a whole.

Maintenance of extensive database records
Being a first point of contact for the team on data and payment issues
Report preparation and generation e.g. management reports, DfE returns and Freedom of Information requests

A knowledge of issues relating to Special Education Needs is important as well as an understanding of school settings.

The role includes significant and varied specialist administrative responsibilities with the ideal candidate having experience in data collection and analysis, handling accounts and financial information and a wide range of clerical, administrative and budgetary experience.
