Business Development Partner

Successful candidate will be based and grow - North Scotland, Central Scotland or North England
Reporting To: Chief Growth Officer (CGO)

  • Primary Purpose: Deliver sales growth in line with the Group strategy. Lead and drive sales strategies in collaboration with the CGO to enhance market share and ensure regional strategies deliver the Group's strategic growth objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement the local growth plan to support the Group strategic growth objectives.
  • As part of that implementation, collaboratively develop and execute regional sales strategies with the CGO.
  • Understand regional market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Build and lead BD and cross-selling initiatives across regional offices.
  • Build a presence in the local market, securing sales leads and converting to new clients.
  • Assisting and coaching team members in their local market to develop sales skills and to convert sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accountability for performance metrics and team outcomes in the region.
  • Be accountable for the activities and sales initiatives of one of AAB's strategic sectors.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive market knowledge.
  • Robust BD and sales experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and a strong professional profile.
  • The ability to drive new initiatives, a strong track record for execution and delivery, and a desire to coach and support colleagues.
  • Experience of designing and successfully implementing a sales strategy (not essential but preferable).

Candidate Profile:

  • BD/sales professionals with a track record of success. Prior experience of professional services is not essential.

Time Allocation:

  • Main role focus, with flexible secondary responsibilities not to exceed approx. 15% of overall time.

Collaboration and Strategy Alignment:

  • Work in unison with the CGO to align regional sales activities with the Group's growth strategies.
  • Regular strategy sessions with the CGO to ensure consistent progress and adaptation to market changes.
