KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accurately forecasting sales and growth based on business opportunities and analysis of historic sales data.
  • Developing effective working relationships with Local Authorities, Multi Academy Trusts, and Schools.
  • Collaborating with the B2B bid manager on tender submissions, contract renewals, and Quality Assurance processes.
  • Implementing account plans to support sales targets in line with Company objectives.
  • Identifying new business and partnership opportunities within LAs, MATs, and schools.
  • Taking action on at-risk or underperforming customers.
  • Representing the business at conferences and exhibitions.
  • Maintaining CRM (Dynamics) with leads, opportunities, and contracts.
  • Engaging in new business development calls, presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Attending account review meetings with schools and local authority procurement teams.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Graduate with proven business development and account management experience in the public sector.
  • Experience in education or edtech industry and understanding of UK state education and alternative provision landscape.
  • Ability to develop strategic accounts and manage new business opportunities.
  • Consultative sales experience in a growth environment, with key account management proficiency.
  • Success in identifying, nurturing, and converting business leads with excellent customer service.
  • Skills in developing relationships within LAs, MATs, and Schools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence in communication and engagement with senior education leaders.
  • Interpersonal communication skills and ability to form trusted relationships.
  • Capability to manage workload independently and collaboratively with team members.
  • Experience in delivering against targets with a focus on maintaining a sales pipeline.
