We're looking for a hard-working, talented and enthusiastic Junior Marketing Designer to join our busy marketing team based in our head office in Welshpool.

As well as supporting marketing activities in our 8 stores across Wales and the borders, you'll also be working closely with our Ecommerce team to push our ever-expanding website forwards.

As such you'll be kept very busy, but your positive energy and ability to connect with those around you means you'll quickly form strong working relationships and make a real impact from day one.

As a Junior Marketing Designer at Charlies, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the creation of all marketing materials
  • Creating point of sale and promotional materials for stores
  • Generating printready artwork for adverts, promotions and store environments
  • Organising, styling and carrying out product photoshoot days
  • Assisting in the creation of seasonal displays in stores
  • General marketing admin and support where necessary

Key qualities we'll be looking for:

  • A strong portfolio of work, highlighting your skill and creativity
  • Highly competent in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop are essential)
  • Ability to work to templates and adhere to brand guidelines
  • An everpositive attitude with outstanding organisation skills and the highest attention to detail
  • Brilliant communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent spelling and grammar.
  • A friendly, approachable and positive attitude with a desire to go the extra mile for our customers, colleagues and company.
  • The energy and enthusiasm needed to produce the best work, as well as the confidence to think on the spot and take action.
  • A team player, prepared to work to tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities


The role would be based in our head office on Offa's Dyke Business Park, Welshpool, where hours would be 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday (42.5 hours per week).
