Commercial Portfolio Manager - Key Account Lead

**Job Summary**

Aurizon is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Portfolio Manager to join our Bulk Customer and Growth team. As a key account lead, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts to deliver strong commercial outcomes and driving business growth through identifying and securing new opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships across your portfolio of customers and all functions in Aurizon to optimize the flow of customer information.
  • Be the lead expert for all customer intelligence within the portfolio, including identifying and facilitating potential future business growth opportunities or decline risks, and developing long-term strategic solutions to manage these.
  • Lead and manage the design and development of customer proposals, tender responses, and business cases within your portfolio.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contracting processes with customers, with a focus on renewing current contracts prior to expiry.
  • Develop and maintain active key account management planning for each customer in the portfolio.
  • Deliver the performance requirements of each contract within the customer portfolio through the rigorous contract performance process.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum 3 years' sales, commercial, and/or account management experience.
  • University qualified in Economics, Finance, or related discipline.
  • High level of management and leadership skills with the capacity to develop, implement, and achieve goals and targets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis and business strategy, with a bias towards making data-based decisions.
