The Head of Key Relationships role is mostly remote with just - 2 days a month in office and there is availability to work from abroad once you have passed the probationary period.


Head of Key Relationships Responsibilities:

  • Personally managing a portfolio of key relationships
  • Attending donor meetings with Relationship Managers
  • Making strategic decisions regarding the most appropriate journey for individuals and trusts
  • Working with external consultants to identify key trust opportunities, create proposals and manage ongoing relationships
  • Acting as a publicfacing ambassador at networking events, representing the organisation and its values, engaging with attendees, and enhancing the public image and relationships
  • Spearheading the fundraising programme by developing the existing communication plan, messaging, materials and personally following up with legacy donors and queries
  • Ensuring meticulous record keeping of legacy notifications in the fundraising database, liaising with Executors, Solicitors, Auditors and the Finance team as necessary (supported by an administrator who you will line manage)
  • Team management of the team of Relationship Managers, guiding their efforts to raise funds for special campaigns including matchedgiving, capital projects and digital initiatives
  • Developing a calendar of stewardship activities to facilitate longterm partnerships with major donors within a wider community of giving
  • Providing strategy and leadership collaborating with Executive Leadership and external consultants to shape and enhance the company's strategy

Head of Key Relationships Essentials:

  • 5+ years within major gift fundraising
  • Managed a small team in the past
  • A deep understanding of the Christian faith
