As the Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales activities across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Your primary responsibility will be to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing Sales Team, comprising of Area Sales Managers, Application Engineers, and Sales Support staff. In this role, you will be instrumental in devising and implementing effective sales strategies that align with the company's overarching business and sales objectives.

With your leadership, the Sales Team will excel in identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, expanding their customer base, and nurturing strong client relationships. Your guidance and mentorship will empower the team to achieve remarkable sales results, surpass targets, and drive sustainable growth.

Your efforts will also revolve around identifying untapped markets and leveraging the company's bespoke machinery to address and fulfil customer needs effectively. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of the company and contribute significantly to its growth.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage, motivate and coordinate the Sales Team.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in untapped markets.
- Collaborate with Engineering Leaders, Project Engineers, and Design Engineers to ensure a seamless technical sales process.
- Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to stay ahead of the curve.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in sales team management is essential.
- Experience in selling High-Value Capital Equipment is mandatory.
- Preferred, but not essential, experience in the Food Industry/Food Machinery sector.
- Strong understanding of technical sales processes and the ability to liaise with engineering professionals.
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills to inspire the sales team towards achieving targets.
- Flexibility to travel as required, with an average of 5 days per month spent at the UK Head Office.
- Ideally, you will be a qualified Engineer that has grown into capital equipment sales, but this is not essential.

It’s highly likely that suitable applicants will currently hold one of the following job titles; Head of Sales; Senior Sales Manager; EMEA Sales Manager or Sales Director.
