We are seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Cardiology.

This post forms part of the Lancashire teaching hospitals Overseas Registrar Development and Recruitment Program (ORDeR Program).

In this role the successful applicant will work closely as part of a dynamic cardiology team, providing support to the delivery of invasive and non-invasive cardiology practices at Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South District Hospital.


The post holder will be given the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of cardiology, with encouragement for personal and professional development over a 2 year plan of development.

The Post holder will be responsible for middle grade support to the Consultant Cardiologistsat the Royal Preston Hospital.

Duties will include:

  • Care of patients on CCU, Cardiology ward, referrals from ED, MAU, SDEC and ward
  • Cardiology OP Clinics twice a week
  • Cardiac Catheter Lab diagnostic coronary angiography, pacemaker implants one day a week
  • Selfdevelopment
