An award-winning digital agency in Manchester is looking for an experienced Social Media Account Director or Senior Social Media Account Manager to develop and execute client strategies, deepen and grow client relationships and nurture an exceptional team.

Working to create best-in-class strategies, breakthrough creative content and leveraging both established and emerging platforms, you will lead all social media activities with the aim of hitting client objectives and delivering extraordinary results. You will build and lead strategies and campaigns that will harness the technology and the creative power of social media to efficiently and effectively build clients' brands, promote their services and offerings, and drive sales. Reporting into the Client Services Director, you will direct and lead on client strategies and ensure client service excellence.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Devise and implement data-driven content strategies across social media channels, including day to day management of social calendars and content
  • Allocate and assign resources in coordination with the creative team to deliver all social media work to brief, on budget and on time
  • Own the planning, conceptualisation, creation, posting and community management across all client accounts
  • Write engaging and compelling copy, with the ability to tell stories across posts, platforms and campaigns
  • Monitor clients' social channels daily to ensure accuracy against agreed scope and objectives, identifying any errors to be rectified
  • Own the execution of campaign rollouts across multiple social channels and platforms.
  • Devise and deliver targeted paid social media campaigns that provide ROI
  • Spot opportunities for organic growth and proactively formulate a strategy to expand the service offering to your clients, selling ideas and concepts with conviction and enthusiasm
  • Provide robust reporting of organic and paid social media, translating monthly performance and analytics data to actionable insights and strategy changes
  • Guide and lead your direct reports to provide the highest quality of social media content, prioritising your own and the team's workload
  • Manage and lead client relationships, confidently presenting to clients
  • Play a key role in supporting new business drive- you will be involved from lead generation stage (nurturing prospects), to leading proposals and delivering outstanding pitches

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (SAM or AD level)
  • Experience handling paid social strategies
  • Genuine passion for social media and a strong understanding of how brands can best leverage channels
  • Strong eye for creative excellence and the ability to produce compelling social content
  • Strong critical thinking and exceptional track record of leading clients and/or teams
  • Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders and consistently deliver exceptional results
  • A positive and flexible attitude to work, with the ability to build relationships collaboratively across the business at all levels
  • Ability to mentor and nurture the careers of colleagues
  • Knowledge of fully integrated digital solutions, including paid and organic search, web development and broader digital activity is preferred but not essential
