Our wonderful client, a prestigious Oxford educational institution is looking for a confident and ambitious people-person to join their Development Office. This exciting and busy role reporting into the Director of Development is responsible for fundraising through various channels, supporting with the organisation and delivery of events, and building relationships with potential future donors, all whilst acting as an ambassador for the organisation.

You will be confident and organised, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and come with an ambitious approach to fundraising.

Development Officer Responsibilities

Building relationships with new and existing donors Securing four and five-figure gifts Creating fundraising appeals using email and direct mail Producing enticing copy for online and printed publications Working with the Director of Development to deliver a programme or stewardship activities Supporting with the planning and delivery of high-quality events

Development Officer Experience Essentials

To be successful in this role you will be an excellent communicator. You will be a natural people-person and be comfortable building relationships. You will be a team player and willing to chip in to help your colleagues, but equally happy getting your head down and working independently. You will ideally be educated to degree level or have proven experience within a fundraising role, or corporate environment. You will be proficient in MS office, and be comfortable recording, translating, and analysing data. You must be committed to the protection, safeguarding, and wellbeing of children and young people.

Development Officer
