Main duties of the job
The Support Officer will assist the Programme and Partnership Manager with administrative and project management tasks. This role involves aiding the Improvement and Innovation team as part of the Mental Health Improvement Programme.
The officer is expected to work independently, discerning the needs of team members and facilitating their work to ensure peak performance, while also adhering strictly to instructions.
They will serve as a central point of contact, overseeing the communication flow regarding commissioner communications and managing various complex portals that are used for advertising and handling commercial opportunities.
Additionally, the officer will undertake the roles of project manager and bid writer when necessary.
The role includes managing and coordinating secretarial and administrative support for the community team, developing and overseeing the local performance framework to guarantee prompt and precise data collection and reporting.
Furthermore, the officer will assist Operational Leads and Service Managers with the regular management of staff-related matters, including sickness, annual leave, training, and performance appraisals.

Job responsibilities
As a Business Development and Improvement Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Mental Health Outcomes Improvement Team with the Mental Health Improvement Programme. Key responsibilities include:
Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Programme and Partnership Manager, ensuring smooth operation of daily activities.
Project Management: Assist in project management tasks, including setting up and managing trackers, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring all project documentation is up to date and accessible. Meeting Coordination: Organise meeting dates and schedules, produce detailed plans and timetables, and ensure all necessary arrangements are made for workshops, large group meetings, and events.
Communication Management: Act as the focal point for communication with internal and external stakeholders. Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all project documentation is up to date with version control, accessible to authorised personnel, and compliant with data security policies.
Workshop Management: Organise and manage workshops, including sending out invites, preparing agendas, organizing AV, taking minutes, and producing delegate packs. You will also be expected to operate Microsoft Office applications at an expert level and support the organisation in maintaining high standards of health, safety, and confidentiality. Your ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and work both autonomously and as part of a team will be essential in this role.
