Security Officer

We are seeking Security Officers for a modern student accommodation site in the Oxford area on an ad hoc basis.
The Security Officer role would suit those with excellent interpersonal skills and who wish to develop skills in security, gatekeeping, and as a Security Officer. Must be able to commute to the city centre.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment & ensure safe access to the building at all times.
- Carrying out patrols/hazard reporting etc as requested.
- Ensuring all Health & Safety policies are adhered to.
- Completing all necessary reports in line with company documentation.
- Access / Egress control.
- Monitoring of alarms & CCTV system.
- Key Holding responsibilities.
- Controlling and monitoring access to the carparks.
- General refuse management & ensuring overall tidiness on site.
- Provide a high standard of customer service.
- Be polite, helpful, and diligent, with a ‘can do’ ethos.
- Have a calm personality capable of controlling difficult situations.
**Additional Information**:
This Ad hoc Security Officer role involves covering night shifts from 18:00 - 08:00 occasional nights as and when required for cover.
**Essential Skills**:
- Valid Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence.
- Fully comprehensive 5-year work/unemployment/education history screenable to BS7858.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Reliability.
