We are looking for our next Network Growth Lead. You may be wondering, what does a Network Growth Lead do? Let us walk you through some of the amazing things you could be doing.
As a Network Growth Lead, your focus will be to plan for and oversee our Growth Investment Plan for the sewer networks within our region. By liaising with both internal and external partners, you will work to develop and improve the resilience of the wastewater networks, while promoting a positive impact on the environment.
You will initiate and maintain extensive contacts with key Networks Engineers and Modellers in our Engineering and Technical Services department, Developer Services department, and officials of other organizations and companies. You will also provide input and review technical standards to achieve appropriate quality in line with the company objectives. You will consult with and be consulted by associates within your own department and the wider company over matters of professional and technical judgment.
Ideally, you should have an engineering, water/wastewater, or environmental background, as you will be liaising with environmental entities. An asset management qualification would be beneficial, but basic asset management knowledge will be sufficient. You should be able to communicate with varied audiences, be adaptive, have great time management and presentation skills, and be able to prioritize.
This role requires someone who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, as you will need to work with different departments internally and externally to understand, plan, and implement the actions required to manage the growing population from a wastewater perspective.
No two days will be the same in this role, as you will work with and alongside many different departments, exposing you to various sectors within the industry. This will help you gain a wealth of knowledge and build your personal development.
