Main duties of the job
As a senior scheduler you will be expected to provide a service of the highest quality to the directorate, surgical specialties and, most importantly, patients by way of delivering a wide ranging catalogue of essential administrative duties. The role of a senior scheduler is one of great responsibility; challenging and intensive but, ultimately, offering a great degree of job satisfaction with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills in the world of elective surgical scheduling.

Job description
Job responsibilities
You will be given a full programme of training to equip you for the best possible start in the role; regular appraisals; health and wellbeing support; and be part of a friendly, hard-working team.
An excellent telephone manner is essential, along with a great degree of intelligence, tact, patience and empathy in order to deal with oftentimes delicate situations with families, challenging conversations with surgeons and meeting with Operational Managers and other members of clinical teams.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with a passion for excellence and a thirst for knowledge that upholds the MFT Values. You will be able and willing to work as part of a team, but also have the discipline to work autonomously, with initiative common sense and pride in your work. The ability to take guidance, admit mistakes and be willing to develop your skills whilst enhancing the service is a necessity. You will be professional, reliable, punctual, willing to listen and have excellent attention to detail.
