Job description

Together for Mental wellbeing are seeking an Independent Mental Health Advocate to join the Advocacy service based at Arnold Lodge, a forensic medium secure hospital in Leicester.

 

You will  provide Independent Mental Health Advocacy and generic advocacy to qualifying patients including people detained under specific sections of the Mental Health Act ’83.

  

You will need to have worked in advocacy or experience of working within mental health services in a professional or caring role.

 

You will be able to work between several wards and be able to participate in mandatory breakaway and physical disengagement training on an annual basis.

  

The successful candidate should hold National Advocacy Qualification level 4 or be willing to work towards this within the first year of practice.
