Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department to provide high quality coordination of the doctors rota as well as support the Trauma Operational team.

The role requires you to have good organisational skills that will contribute to the efficiency of the rota and make an overall difference by planning ahead.

You will need to have excellent communication skills with all levels of personnel, internally and externally from the department and develop effective working relationships with all.

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn new skills and be able to adapt to change in a busy, challenging but rewarding environment. You should be able to work both autonomously and within a team as well as prioritising and organising workloads in order to meet deadlines.

Main duties of the job

You will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the doctor rosters for Trauma & Orthopaedic.

You will co-ordinate all annual leave and study leave requests ensuring safe staffing levels for the orthopaedic wards, clinics and theatres are maintained, liaising confidently and effectively with senior managers, Consultants, and Medical Staffing.

You will also provide support to the trauma operational team,

You will ensure all communication to doctors within Trauma & Orthopaedic is undertaken efficiently and effectively.
