In-Memory Marketing Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for an In-Memory Marketing Officer to join our Legacy Fundraising Team at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. This role is crucial in expanding our in-memory marketing and fundraising activities and help steward our dedicated supporters.

As an In-Memory Marketing Officer, you will work closely with our Legacy Marketing Manager to develop and implement effective in-memory marketing strategies and communication plans. You will build strong relationships with our in-memory supporters, crafting personalised journeys for those giving in memory through third-party platforms. 

Your role will also involve managing relationships with Tribute Fund supporters and leading the communication and stewardship journey both online and offline. You will liaise with external agencies and suppliers, including our Tribute Fund website provider. Promptly responding to supporter queries and resolving issues will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring an excellent experience for all our supporters. 

Collaboration is key in this role. You will work with internal teams, such as direct marketing and community fundraising, to identify new in-memory fundraising opportunities and develop marketing campaigns for existing initiatives. Additionally, you will create engaging marketing materials to support in-memory activities for both new and existing supporters. 

Maintaining accurate records of new Tribute Funds on our database and ensuring supporters are appropriately thanked and communicated with according to their preferences is essential. You will also represent in-memory giving across the charity, working with other teams and volunteers to ensure sensitivity to the needs of those supporting us in this special way. 

Your work will be tracked through monthly reports against objectives and KPIs, ensuring alignment with our organisation’s core values and policies.

What are we looking for? 

A highly organised individual who can plan and manage multiple projects within tight deadlines. You should have experience in delivering multi-channel communications to engage diverse audiences and be skilled at leading marketing campaigns across various platforms. 

Strong communication skills are essential, both written and verbal. You will need to create engaging copy for letters, emails, and webpages, as well as possess excellent editing and proofreading skills. Attention to detail is crucial in both your own work and in supporting our valued supporters. 

Proficiency in Microsoft tools and relationship management databases is required. Additionally, you should have strong relationship-building skills, with the confidence to connect with a wide range of supporters, including those in emotional situations.
