Northampton, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom Motor Neurone Disease Association Full time

Memory Fundraising Specialist

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Memory Fundraising Specialist to become a vital part of our Legacy Fundraising Team at the Motor Neurone Disease Association. This position plays a significant role in enhancing our memory-based marketing and fundraising initiatives while nurturing our committed supporters.

Department: Fundraising

Location: Remote with occasional office attendance

Salary: Competitive compensation package plus benefits

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Legacy Marketing Manager to devise and execute impactful memory fundraising strategies and communication frameworks. Building robust relationships with our memory supporters will be essential, as you will design personalized experiences for those contributing in memory through various platforms.

Your responsibilities will also include managing connections with Tribute Fund supporters and guiding their communication and stewardship journey across both digital and traditional channels. You will coordinate with external partners and service providers, including our Tribute Fund website manager, ensuring timely responses to supporter inquiries and resolving any issues to guarantee a positive experience for all involved.

Collaboration is essential: You will engage with internal teams, such as direct marketing and community fundraising, to uncover new memory fundraising opportunities and create marketing campaigns for ongoing initiatives. Additionally, you will develop compelling marketing materials to support memory activities for both new and existing supporters.

Maintaining precise records of new Tribute Funds in our database and ensuring that supporters receive appropriate acknowledgments and communications according to their preferences is crucial. You will also represent memory giving across the organization, working alongside other teams and volunteers to ensure sensitivity to the needs of those who support us in this meaningful manner.

Your performance will be monitored through regular reports against set objectives and key performance indicators, ensuring alignment with our organization's core values and policies.

If you are dedicated to making a positive impact and possess the skills necessary to bolster our memory fundraising efforts, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of this essential income stream, supporting those who give in memory of their loved ones.

Hybrid Working Expectations: Flexibility to work remotely with occasional office attendance as needed.

We recognize the importance of work-life balance and are committed to accommodating our employees' needs. We welcome part-time applications and job share arrangements. If you seek flexibility, please indicate your preferred working arrangement in your application.

What We Are Looking For:

We seek a highly organized individual capable of planning and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines. Experience in delivering multi-channel communications to engage diverse audiences is essential, along with proficiency in leading marketing campaigns across various platforms.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are vital. You will need to create engaging content for letters, emails, and web pages, as well as demonstrate excellent editing and proofreading abilities. Attention to detail is critical in your work and in supporting our valued supporters.

Proficiency in Microsoft tools and relationship management databases is required. Additionally, you should possess strong relationship-building skills, with the confidence to connect with a wide range of supporters, including those in emotional situations.

Our Benefits:

  • Generous holiday allowance, increasing with service
  • Access to UK Healthcare, including dental and eyecare reimbursements
  • 24/7 phone and video GP service
  • Life assurance coverage
  • Confidential counseling services
  • Salary sacrifice schemes, including cycle to work
  • Lifestyle discounts through BenefitHub
  • Enhanced pension contributions
  • Opportunities for professional development and training
  • Hybrid working options
