As a Reception Manager we want you to elevate guest satisfaction and uphold service excellence. Responsibilities include overseeing reception staff, maintaining brand standards, optimising revenue, fostering teamwork, and facilitating training and development. Applicants should excel in communication, leadership, and operational efficiency.

Main responsibilities

  • Evaluate and action guest feedback to ensure positive and consistent service results.
  • Drive and improve customer service standards within your department.
  • Manage and coach the reception/front office team to adhere to brand and company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and monitor average room rate, occupancy, and department figures.
  • Control payroll costs and maximize commercial opportunities by upselling.
  • Monitor guest accounts and ensure accurate posting of charges in collaboration with revenue and finance departments.
  • Take reservations in line with company and brand standards.
  • Foster a positive working environment and effective communication with all departments.
  • Plan and implement training plans to encourage team upskilling and development.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set clear objectives, and address any concerns with your team.
  • Maintain safe equipment usage and good working relationships with colleagues.
