Our client is a British technology company and is on a mission to protect and save lives by making innovative home safety products which are simple and accessible. Their aim is to revolutionize the way business is conducted in its chosen business segments. The business is a leading provider of smoke, heat and carbon monoxide detectors to the retail and trade sectors both in the UK and Europe. 

We are seeking a highly passionate International Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team. This is a fast-paced and highly collaborative role in which you will be supporting the International Sales Team, Sales Director and Marketing functions. The role is collaborative and crucial in developing the brand across France, Germany and Benelux, continuing customer growth across all channels. 

  • Utilize customer profiles, competitor analysis and market mapping skills to strengthen go to market strategies 
  • Brand development will be a key activity for each locale, with expert support provided by the in-house graphic design and digital marketing teams 
  • Create and execute comprehensive communication strategies to develop both consumer and professional (social housing, facilities management, contractors and installers) audience following and engagement 
  • Develop key activities to increase and optimize the professional lead generation for each locale 
  • Work alongside the Head of Marketing to strengthen routes to market for our products by communicating with and developing partnerships with key distributors 
  • Utilize key third-party agencies to create and execute brand awareness and lead generation campaigns 
  • Collaborate with the marketing (digital and brand), graphic design, certification, product, customer service and sales teams based in the UK, to build a strong network of internal support 
  • Represent the organization at leading industry events, including the planning, execution and networking during the event 
  • Support sales team with meeting key customers, developing targeted account marketing plans and tools 
  • Management of a European Marketing Manager, with support from Head of Marketing where possible 


Requirements

Required: 

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar marketing role, preferably senior with budget responsibility 
  • French and English language skills, both conversational and written 
  • Highly creative individual with excellent eye for detail 
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment 
  • Effective communication skills to support with pitching strategies to key stakeholders across the business 
  • Worldwide independent travel is a must, with a full valid passport required to support 
    You will need to be methodical, meticulous, organized 

 

Desired: 

  • Marketing education award in relevant field e.g. CIM, MBA etc. 
  • Further languages (Dutch and German etc.) 

 

Personal qualities: 

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for collaborating with team members, clients, and key stakeholders. 
  • Creativity: Innovation and creativity are vital for creating a variety of marketing collateral to develop the brand steadily and strategically   
  • Attention to detail: It’s essential you have a keen eye for detail and can take ownership of work to ensure a high level of quality is maintained throughout   
  • Adaptability: The design landscape is constantly evolving, therefore you should be adaptable and open to learning new tools, trends, and techniques to stay ahead in the industry 
  • Time management: This role requires planning and foresight to ensure all projects are delivered on time and in line with all areas of the business 
  • User-Centric Design: We’re focused on creating design that helps solve real problems for the user and takes time to understand the needs and pain-points of our target audience
