This post is fixed term until the 14th June 2025 and hours per week.

Under the supervision of the Occupational Therapists and a Placement Consultant, you will be supporting adults with an acquired brain injury to achieve their vocational rehabilitation goals in both 1-1 and group therapy sessions in either the clients own home, Brookside Clinic, other community settings, or virtually.

Main duties of the job

The role is based at the Community Head Injury Service, Brookside Clinic, delivering specialised vocational rehabilitation programmes as agreed between the client and the Occupational Therapists or Placement Consultant. You will be working closely within an inter-disciplinary team in the Community Head Injury Service to deliver client centred assessments and interventions. The role will include assisting clients to prepare for work through rehabilitation, coaching and liaising with employers, occupational health, human resources and job centre staff.

The post holder must be able to use high level communication skills to establish therapeutic relationships with people who have a complex range of will also be various administration tasks involved on a day-to-day basis and computer proficiency is needed as documentation is electronic.

This post is an integral part of the team and is essential to the delivery of a specialist vocational rehabilitation service for people living with an acquired brain injury.
