Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant for Adults with Brain Injuries

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant to support adults who have experienced acquired brain injuries.

In this role, you will play a vital part in helping individuals achieve their vocational rehabilitation goals. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver specialized programs and provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Specialized Vocational Rehabilitation Programs: Implement tailored programs designed to enhance clients' employability skills and prepare them for successful reintegration into the workforce.
  • Collaboration with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work effectively alongside a team of healthcare professionals, including therapists, doctors, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Client Support in Preparing for Work: Assist clients in developing job search strategies, resume writing, interview skills, and other essential work-related competencies.
  • Maintaining Accurate Clinical Records: Document client progress, treatment plans, and interventions meticulously to ensure continuity of care.
  • Building Therapeutic Relationships: Foster a supportive and trusting environment with clients, promoting their well-being and motivation throughout the rehabilitation process.
