We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join our Adult Protection team which sits within the Quality Assurance arm of Adult Social Care Leadership.
The main focus of the role is to lead on, co-ordinate, deliver and monitor the Highland Appropriate Adult Service as well as undertaking the Appropriate Adult role as required. The post holder will also have a role in supporting the work of the Principal Officer for Adult Protection and the Highland Adult Protection Committee including: raising awareness of Adult Protection for the public/community; highlighting and effectively communicating the work of the Adult Protection Committee to the multi-agency partnership; increasing communication channels for sharing Adult Protection messages; improving participation and involvement of those with lived experience; and other work as flexibly required.
The adult protection and appropriate adult portfolios have a multi-agency agenda and link with a wide range of partner agencies and organisations.
The right candidate will preferably have knowledge of Adult Social Care, Adult Support & Protection, Appropriate Adult and other statutory legislation as well as ideally having experience in a Project Officer or similar role.
The supportive team is based in Inverness but due to the nature of this post, Highland-wide applicants and options for remote working will be considered, however the post holder will be expected to travel as required for the role.
NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
