Project Officer - Adult Protection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Officer to join our Adult Protection team in NHS Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on, coordinating, delivering, and monitoring the Highland Appropriate Adult Service, as well as undertaking the Appropriate Adult role as required.

The post holder will also support the work of the Principal Officer for Adult Protection and the Highland Adult Protection Committee, including raising awareness of Adult Protection for the public/community, highlighting and effectively communicating the work of the Adult Protection Committee to the multi-agency partnership, increasing communication channels for sharing Adult Protection messages, improving participation and involvement of those with lived experience, and other work as flexibly required.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Adult Social Care, Adult Support & Protection, Appropriate Adult, and other statutory legislation, as well as experience in a Project Officer or similar role.

The team is based in Inverness, but due to the nature of the post, Highland-wide applicants and options for remote working will be considered. The post holder will be expected to travel as required for the role.
