Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Geologist / Senior Geologist to join our team at Matchtech. This is a permanent opportunity to work on significant energy projects in the sector.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field and will be responsible for supervising geotechnical projects, conducting site investigations, and ensuring technical compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise geotechnical projects and ensure technical compliance with relevant standards.
  • Conduct site investigations and log geological data accurately.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver project goals.
  • Prepare detailed reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Oversee rig operations and ensure safety standards are upheld.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
  • Perform geotechnical analysis and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the projects.

Requirements

  • Experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in supervising rig operations and logging geological data.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Understanding of geotechnical risk assessment principles.
  • Ability to manage project timelines and deliverables.
  • Relevant degree in geology, geotechnical engineering, or a related discipline.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
