Lead Nurse - SACT Services

Band 7

37 hours per week


An exciting opportunity has become available within the Edinburgh Cancer Centre.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative nurse to lead on safe and effective delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) in both day treatment and in-patient areas.

The role requires the applicant to have relevant oncology and/or haematology experience and the ability to work at a senior level in a complex setting along with the ability to work collaboratively with medical and pharmacy colleagues.

They will also work alongside the senior management team within the centre.

The role includes a large governance remit, including audit and management of adverse events - training will be provided if required.

The successful applicant will be based in the Cancer Centre at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh but will also cover other clinical areas within NHS Lothian and the SCAN Network in delivering SACT.

There is an expectation that they will also attend and represent NHS Lothian at local and regional meetings.
