Lead Nurse - SACT Services

Band 7

37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Edinburgh Cancer Centre.

We are seeking a motivated and innovative nurse to oversee the safe and effective administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

The role requires the candidate to have pertinent oncology and/or haematology experience, along with the capability to operate at a senior level in a complex environment, and to collaborate effectively with medical and pharmacy professionals.

The successful candidate will also work closely with the senior management team within the centre.

This role encompasses a significant governance responsibility, including audit and management of adverse events; training will be provided as necessary.

The successful applicant will be stationed at the Cancer Centre but will also engage with other clinical areas within NHS Lothian and the SCAN Network in delivering SACT.

There is an expectation for attendance and representation of NHS Lothian at local and regional meetings.
