About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and SACT-trained Community Chemotherapy Nurse to join our team on a 3-6 month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality chemotherapy treatments in patients' homes, prioritizing safety and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver chemotherapy treatments in patients' homes, ensuring a safe and compassionate care environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet patients' needs.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on chemotherapy treatments and related care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a nurse with a valid nursing license.
- Experience in oncology nursing, preferably in a community setting.
- Training in SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
