Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Oncology Nurse to join our team at Leaders in Care. As a Community Oncology Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional cancer care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct blood tests and toxicity assessments to ensure patient safety and effectiveness of treatment.
  • Administer IV and oral chemotherapy medications to patients in their homes.
  • Perform pump disconnections and line care to maintain patient comfort and safety.
  • Provide IM/SC injections to patients as required.
  • Work independently in the community while staying connected with a supportive nursing team.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and therapies in oncology care to provide the best possible patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Active NMC Pin as a Registered RGN Nurse.
  • Experience in Oncology, Haematology, or Chemotherapy.
  • Skills in cannulation and venepuncture.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • SACT Passport or equivalent qualification.
