About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the NHS Scotland team as a Clinical Fellow in Oncology, working within the Oncology department at the Western General Hospital. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients with various cancer malignancies within a clinical trial setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of cancer malignancies within a clinical trial setting.
  • Work with the current cancer research team to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of new cancer treatments.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical trials, with a focus on Early Phase Trials, especially Phase I.
  • Collaborate with Consultants, Research Nurses, and Data Managers to ensure seamless delivery of clinical trial services.
  • Contribute to the development of new cancer treatments and therapies, with opportunities to gain experience in outpatient oncology practice and allied medical specialties.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in oncology and clinical trials, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
