In this position, you'll dive into the day-to-day operational aspects, handling queries, and building relationships with external stakeholders such as acquiring banks, card schemes, and technology providers. Your responsibilities will span from administering portals and managing user permissions to reconciling invoices and overseeing purchase ledger payments for third-party suppliers. As a Junior Payments Manager, you'll be at the forefront of driving efficiency and excellence within our payments infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, particularly Finance, Commercial and IT, to address any issues promptly and ensure seamless operations.
Your role will also involve actively participating in payments projects and providing valuable input into departmental procedures and guidelines. By identifying and resolving issues proactively, you'll contribute to maintaining a high standard of service delivery, ultimately enhancing the customer experience and supporting our revenue goals. Requirements of the Role

What you need to do the role
We are seeking a qualified candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Payments for a similar role, ideally within a multiple card acquirer environment with a focus on processing high transaction volumes.
You will hold expertise in Payments data management and reporting, along with strong presentation abilities for both internal and external stakeholders. The role demands the capability to thrive under pressure, managing multiple work streams simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Prior experience in large-scale e-commerce businesses is highly desirable.
Exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing abilities, are a must, alongside a high level of integrity and professionalism. Proficiency in SQL and data analysis is required, as well as strong competencies in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computing.

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office.
