You will be joining a dedicated friendly Forensic Community mental Health Team (FCMHT) in a fast-paced environment using a range of clinical systems and Microsoft packages. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook will be essential. Knowledge of the Trust system Lorenzo would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided.

You will need to be well organised, and ideally have knowledge about healthcare and the NHS. You will work under the supervision of the Lead Occupational Therapist and be responsible for supporting their team.

In addition to working as part of a local admin team in the FCMHT, there will be opportunities to work collaboratively with and gain support from the wider Secure Services admin team.

There is the opportunity to be based at either Kestrel House, Norwich or Cedar House, Ipswich depending on the applicants preferred location.

Main duties of the job

This role will be supporting the clinical team. This will involve working closely with the multidisciplinary team. Working with different electronic patient systems to maintain patient information. This role will offer a variety from phone calls, update of patient records, general admin support to the clinical team, and data collection.

You will be able to evidence a flexible response to service needs. Experience of working to deadlines, on your own initiative and maintaining strict confidentiality are also essential.

Previous administration experience is essential. Full training will be given for this role.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Pitman/RSA III Typing / Word Processing or equivalent secretarial experience at intermediate level. NVQ 3 Business Administration or equivalent or working towards NVQ 2 Customer Services or working towards.

Experience

Essential

Understanding and experience in a full range of secretarial procedures and systems gained through practice at intermediate level. Working on own initiative with minimal supervision. Ability to work with senior members of staff across a large organisation.

Skills

Essential

Interpersonal skills including taking a proactive diplomatic approach and ensuring confidentiality at all times. ICT skills including Microsoft (especially spreadsheets and presentations, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent. Ability to prioritise.

Knowledge

Essential

Working knowledge of Microsoft packages or equivalent. Maintaining administrative / secretarial systems

Desirable

Knowledge of NHS policy / procedures.
