The Role: As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing behaviour management strategies, working closely with students, teachers, and families to create positive outcomes. Your expertise will help shape a supportive learning environment that fosters personal growth and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized behaviour support plans.
  • Work one-on-one and in small groups with students to improve behaviour and social skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive school culture.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a behaviour support or similar role, ideally within an alternative provision or special education setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help young people succeed.
