About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs, helping them to overcome challenges and succeed academically and socially.
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and coping skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create individualized support plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages social and emotional growth.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting support as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of social and emotional skills, including conflict resolution and self-regulation techniques.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with young people with behavioural needs, ideally within a school setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
