Are you an enthusiastic and detail-focused professional seeking a rewarding opportunity in the transportation sector? Our client, a prominent logistics company, is looking for a Logistics Support Specialist to become part of their dynamic team.
In this position, you will be tasked with ensuring that all shipments are delivered within the timelines established by clients and account representatives.
Your role will be crucial in overseeing each shipment, updating tracking notes, evaluating driver and vehicle availability, and notifying Customer Account Representatives of any potential issues.
Key Qualifications:
- Proficient in utilizing IT systems; however, lack of experience is not a barrier as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Familiarity with external applications such as Outlook and Excel.
- Prior experience in a transportation environment is advantageous.
- Understanding of UK/EU driving hours regulations and restrictions.
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating sound judgment in handling inquiries.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to ensure effective time and workload management.
