The Practice Leads’ (PL) in Methods Analytics have a very important role to play in the learning and development activities across their Practice alongside defining and driving the strategic direction and focus of the practice team, aligning with other practice and Engagement Leads to deliver on priority areas for the business. This enables us to be agile in responding rapidly to evolving requirements across the sectors in which we operate and beyond. They will work across all Business Units operating in Methods Analytics and will work on projects at an assurance and oversight level. They also have a strong and visible external face to the market and lead in the promotion of their area of practice to our current and potential customers.

Requirements

You will be:

  • The key link between our customers and the Business Analysis capabilities in the business. Engaging with clients to understand their needs from a technical perspective and providing appropriate challenge to customer requirements in order to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Performing an advisory role in the pre-bid phase regarding technical capability
  • Contributing to the technical answer in bids for the Practice. Pulling in other members of the Practice where appropriate and possible
  • Identifying and assessing the development of team members within the Practice; participating in monitoring and assessments
  • Responsible for setting the technical expectations of candidates for the Business Analysis Practice team and supporting the Head of Practice in recruitment of Business Analysts.
  • Supporting Head of Practice and Business Unit Mangers in confidently identifying the members of the Practice best suited to a task/project
  • Engaging with line managers to contribute and guide professional development objectives for PDP’s
  • Identifying areas of professional development and continuous improvement for the team members within the Practice
  • Leading events for the Practice, and stimulating exchanges/discussions about ways of working, advances in the role, share knowledge, identify useful training course or seminar etc
  • Responsible for the retention and sharing of knowledge and best practice guidelines/standards within the Practice
  • Representing the Practice at external events related to your expertise
  • Contributing, creating, developing and publishing content and thought leadership around the practice
