Job summary
We are looking to appoint an exceptional clinical leader into a fixed term secondment as Deputy Matron for Transplant and Urology.
The Oxford Transplant Centre is one of the most successful services in the country that supports patients through organ transplantation. The transplant procedures undertaken at the Oxford Transplant Centre include kidney transplantation (including living donor), pancreas transplantations, pancreatic islet transplantation, small bowel transplant and uterine transplantation.
Urology is a large and diverse predominantly surgical service involving the investigation and treatment of medical conditions that arise from the urinary tract. This comprises the kidneys, the ureters that connect the kidneys to the bladder, the bladder, the prostate and other elements of the male and female genital tract. The service comprises a 16 bedded ward, 24/7 triage area and a designated outpatient department.
Main duties of the job
The Deputy Matron will provide effective, visible and accessible clinical leadership and operational management to the Transplant and Urology teams. The role is ideal for a clinical leader aspiring to promote change and improvement within the Division, seeking a step up in their career and professional development.
