Main duties of the job

The Senior Transformation Manager, will be a proactive member of the ICB working closely with the West Essex Health and Care Partnership, to improve outcomes for adults and older adults who experience mental ill health in Hertfordshire and West Essex. They will be responsible for delivering key, high profile, commissioning programmes for Adult Mental Health services and Vulnerable Adults on behalf of Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB and West Essex Health and Care Partnership with a focus on Acute Mental Health services (including urgent care). This will include managing NHS contracts, leading tender exercises, public consultations and strategy development and priority setting.

You'll have a passion for working with partners (NHS, County Council's, Voluntary Community Faith and Social Enterprises (VCFSE) and the public to make positive changes to deliver innovative and flexible solutions for health and social care services.

About us

Our integrated care board (ICB) is one of two key components of the Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care System (ICS). The second is the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP). They work closely together.

NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the local NHS organisation that plans and oversees how NHS money is spent and makes sure health services work well and are of high quality.

The ICB's role is to join up health and care services, improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities for the million people who live in Hertfordshire and West Essex.

Person Specification

Knowledge, Training and Experience

Essential

Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area . Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development Project management qualification, skills and/or experience, such as Prince 2 or Managing Successful Projects, with developed partnership working skills. Experience of working in a political environment with an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement. Proven knowledge and experience of commissioning of services/service development. Good understanding of mental health and related services, including autism and dementia.

Ability to lead multi agency project groups effectively. Experience of performance managing a team/individuals Evidence of planning and delivering programmes and projects and services on time Budget management skills and/or experience, in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes Communicates confidently and clearly delivering key messages to a range of stakeholders to engage, persuade, negotiate, influence and inspire, and positively impacting when interacting with others at all levels.
