Electronic prescribing has been implemented across all inpatient wards, the A&E and outpatients. Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to lead our Older People Medicines Pharmacy Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic pharmacist with great interpersonal skills and a passion for care of older people. They will work closely with service leads to ensure safe and effective medicine management. They will help to set standards and develop our Pharmacy team and lead for pharmacy on the Discharge Medication Service. This post would suit an experienced pharmacist, who will strive to improve quality of care for patients through excellent pharmaceutical care. They will be self-motivated, able to work independently and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the Trusts PRIDE values. They will be expected to utilise knowledge and independent prescribing skills as part of the MDT. We would support professional development of advanced practice roles, leadership capabilities and completion of an independent prescribing qualification if they do not already have one.
As a member of the team they will develop the dynamic service that is at the forefront of clinical pharmacy practice to one of the largest specialties within the Trust. Linked with the University of East Anglia, the Department is very supportive of of work will be Monday to Friday with a requirement to work 1 weekend in 10 with corresponding time off during the week. There is also a requirement to work at least one public holiday per annum.
