An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Workforce Information & Systems Team within the Human Resource Division at East Lancashire Hospital Trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well -motivated member of staff who is a flexible team player.

The post holder will have administrative experience, and an interest in Systems, data and reporting.

ESR is an ever changing and developing system, so the post holder will need to be able to adapt to change, and enjoy taking on new challenges and processes.

The post holder must have good Customer Service experience and be able to provide details of this at interview.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work within their area of responsibility using their own initiative and prioritising their workload effectively, ensuring deadlines are met.

The post holder will provide administrative support to the ESR / Workforce Information Team, being the first point of contact for ESR queries i.e. online payslip access and manage central email inboxes. Provide support in the maintenance and data cleansing of the ESR system. The post holder will contribute to improving system functionality and will assist with ESR projects as and when required. You will also be responsible for delivering standardized reports daily and weekly across the HR Directorate.

The Workforce Information & Systems Team currently manage the ESR System for ELHT with approximately 12000 employee staff records. We are an established team that provide a high standard of service for all end users.

It is essential that we work well as a Team but also manage our own workstreams and work on our own initiatives to enable to deliver the highest standard of data quality.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Act as an initial point of contact for all queries to the ESR Team received by the ESR email accounts.

Administer online payslip passwords and support users with access to the system as and when required. Maintain access for users on the ESR.

Running and distributing standard reports daily using ESR BI and excel.

Manage the Workforce FOI inbox, producing FOI reports on request within timescales.

Provide basic ESR administration for the team.

Support the ongoing projects, organising monthly emails, contacting managers, carrying out ESR data input in a timely manner.

Assist with the data cleansing and the routine interrogation of ESR as required and monitor ESR for accuracy and validation of the data supplied.

Carry out routine system audit checks as directed.

Maintain the ESR Self Service hierarchy.

Support with the implementation of projects that are on-going within the team.

Actively contribute your ideas for the improvement of service provision within the team.

Attend ESR meetings and other ad-hoc meetings taking notes as required.

Develop the role to meet the needs of the service providing new and innovative approach using technological solutions.

Assist with facilitation and organisation of training as necessary.

  • Educated to GCSE level or relevant level 2 diploma or demonstrable experience of office/admin/systems information
