Pharmacist Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Pharmacist to join our aseptic team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and efficient quality assurance of unlicensed aseptic products and providing support for the specialised chemotherapy clinical service.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary pharmacist responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure the safe and effective preparation of aseptic products.
- Provide leadership on all operational quality aspects and ensure that all team members are trained and competent in their roles.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for aseptic services.
- Collaborate with the wider aseptic team to ensure the smooth running of the aseptic units and the provision of a high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient patient-centred pharmacy service.
- MPharm Degree (4 years) or equivalent.
- Member GPhC.
- Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance (PTQA) Diploma (desirable).
- Postgraduate clinical diploma (desirable).
- Non-Medical Prescribing (desirable).
- Experience in Aseptic service and relevant clinical experience.
- Experience in writing and developing SOPs.
- Advance practice in one or more area.
- Experience in managing change.
- Experience in undertaking internal audits.
- Experience working in clinical trials.
- Able to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
- Flexible working.
