Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen withinDigital Health & Care Wales to join the Corporate Governance Team.

We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Corporate Governance Co-ordinator with a passion for all things digital, to work alongside the Corporate Governance Support Manager and Head of Corporate Governance to provide comprehensive business support to the Board and Committees, in a forward-thinking environment, with digital at the forefront.

You will be responsible for providing efficient and effective business support to the various demands arising from the activity of the Board and Committees. Key responsibilities will include coordination of meetings, agenda planning, committee work planning, in addition to producing high quality minutes, correspondence, reports, and assuring quality control of documents published for meetings and subsequently the publishing of content on the website.

This is an interesting and fast-paced role; the successful applicant will need to demonstrate their ability to manage conflicting priorities, meet deadlines and be able to work using their own initiative in an agile manner, using multiple digital platforms.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be a self-starter; they must have excellent planning and organisational skills and have demonstrable experience in providing comprehensive Business support at Executive or Board level, with a flair for using digital systems and working in a digital environment.

The ideal candidate should have a flexible and proactive approach to work, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be educated to Degree Level or equivalent with relevant experience, and have excellent knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite. The ability and passion to learn new skills and the confidence to apply these when working in a forward-thinking digital environment would be advantageous.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential

Degree in a related subject such as Business Administration Or Equivalent level of experience of working at Board level

Desirable

Registered with a relevant professional body.

Experience

Essential

Experience of Board and Committee Management. Experience of communicating with all levels of staff and the public. Experience of operating Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable

Formal minute-taking experience. Experience of managing, maintaining and developing systems and procedures.

Skills and Attributes

Essential

Ability to work on own initiative self-manage workload. Able to organise multi-disciplinary meetings and events.
