THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 24 MONTHS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our SACT team within in the Integrated Care Directorate at Velindre Cancer Centre on a full-time basis.

The Pathway Co-ordinator will work closely with the SACT Booking team, the SACT nursing team and the wider SACT delivery team. The Pathway Co-Ordinator will support in ensuring that patient pathways are recorded accurately to enable a high quality, effective patient focussed service.

The post holder will ensure that Standard Operating Procedures are followed and support the service managers in ensuring that all performance targets are achieved. The post holder will be responsible for providing regular updates on performance and the escalation of any issues which hinder the smooth delivery of the patient pathway.

We are therefore, seeking a skilled, reliable and highly organised individual with excellent communication and organisation skills. The post holder requires experience of Microsoft Office packages - World, Excel and PowerPoint; excellent organisational abilities and the capability to work in a confidential manner are of paramount importance in this role. The ability to communicate effectively as part of a team; to work well under pressure and to prioritise the demands in a busy environment are also essential.

The post holder will need to be flexible as the role will involve providing support to a number of staff and working across the week.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
