Company Secretary Admin Support

Type: Contractor / Fixed Term Contract (3 months with possibility to extend)

The role

We are looking for someone to provide administrative support to the UK based company secretaries to cover for an absence from the office. The Company Secretary Admin Support will support delivery of the corporate administration of UK, Guernsey and European entitles within scope of the team, supporting members of the Group General Counsel team.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting in the preparation of board and committee meetings, Assist in maintaining statutory books and records and taking the lead on gathering documents in advance of meetings and loading on Board Intelligence, Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Company Secretary Performing administrative tasks such as tracking correspondence and ensuring that all matters are being attended to. Organising and maintaining files and documents Assisting Company Secretary in preparing for board and committee meetings Handling confidential information with discretion

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have some experience of corporate governance.

Work experience in an admin support role gained in a legal or company secretarial environment. IT skills: (i) Blueprint/Diligent (ii) Microsoft Office (iii) Board Intelligence (preferable - but training can be provided). Ability to operate in a complex environment, liaise with multiple stakeholders across a variety of key business functions and respond to challenges promptly and effectively.

This role is a part of the wider Group General Counsel team. In addition to the above, we are looking for a motivated team player who is delivery focused, holds themselves to the highest standards and is not afraid to suggest solutions as to how things can be done better.
