We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Support Co-ordinator within the Community Safety Team in the London Violence Reduction Unit (VRU). This role is a fixed term position until 31 March 2024 .

This is an exciting and varied role. The successful candidate will work across the Community Safety team, providing programme and policy support to a range of workstreams focused on delivering investment across London to reduce and prevent violence, working in partnership with London boroughs and other key stakeholders.

This role will support the Community Safety Team Programme Managers to complete briefings, arrange and support meetings with local authorities and the Met police, and maintain key programme documentation, such as action logs and risk registers. You will also support with coordinating critical incident response, the delivery of commissioning and finance processes, conducting pieces of research and building rapport with key stakeholders.

The VRU is looking for someone who is:

Highly organised, with excellent programme support and administrative skills. Confident, and willing to hold colleagues to account for the delivery of actions and objective Able to build rapport and constructive relationships with partners across sectors and communities Confident in communication, both verbally and in developing high quality, public facing written materials. Has experience of working in a community safety or violence reduction team.

Political Restriction

Security Vetting Clearance 

The successful candidates will be expected to undergo the necessary security vetting, which may take around eight weeks to complete. Applicants must possess the legal right to work in the UK and have resided in the UK continuously for at least the last three years.

Where are we based? 

We have moved to a hybrid working model with office hubs at Union Street (near London Bridge) and Newlands Park (postcode SE26). On average, staff will work 1-2 days a week from an Office Hub, which may differ depending on the role requirements.
