Role Overview

Working within our long established and growing Energy Consultancy (part of Savills Earth), we are looking to recruit an energy consultant with a minimum of three years’ experience. We require a self-motivated and enthusiastic and ambitious individual.

The successful candidate must have experience in project consultancy for development and delivery of projects in at least one of the following areas; grid connections, solar, battery storage and EVs.

The role will encompass a diverse range of clients from rural businesses to large industrials, the successful candidate will ideally have experience across the energy and property sector and be able to understand the contract structures that have to be put in place between a landlord and occupier.

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of Savills Earth, the newest Division in Savills, aimed at helping clients deliver on their net zero ambitions.

The role is based in the London or Edinburgh office with the expectation of being in the office three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing daily interactions with a range of clients (private, clients, developers, operators)
  • Technical and financial modelling skills to assess the technical options and financial viability of projects
  • Commercial and contracting knowledge to advise on the project delivery solution
  • Delivering project outputs in the form of written reports and presentations

Key Skills

  • At least three years’ experience in the energy consulting sector
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively, being articulate both orally and in writing to clients and colleagues
  • A willingness to undertake business development and to grow Savills energy service offering
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to consider commercial aspects of a project
  • Ability to present and communicate information and analysis in a logical and engaging way

Team Overview

Savills provides a full suite of energy and sustainability services across both the built and natural environments. Savills Earth is expanding rapidly with around 100 staff, as such, it is one of the UK’s largest Energy & Sustainability consultancies. At an organisational level, we help create the culture, strategies, and direction required to maximise positive contributions to society and the environment, advising on the transparency and governance required to validate and celebrate commitment to sustainability. We work with clients to implement these strategies, turning sustainability targets and commitments into reality by delivering continual improvement projects across wide portfolios and on individual assets. We bring expertise in how to efficiently and responsibly use, procure, and generate the energy required to power clients’ properties, helping them achieve net zero emissions, whilst managing their material and ecological impacts. Our aim is to inspire and enable our clients to have a positive impact on our planet. We bring the knowledge and skills required to deliver this through a holistic, robust and accountable approach.
