  • Salary: £40K + Performance based annual bonus
  • Location: Cranleigh, Surrey
  • Hours: 9:30am - 6:00pm - 8.5-hour day
  • Office Based: Monday - Friday. (Once settled in the role, working from home on a Friday will become an option)

Our client based in Cranleigh is seeking an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager.

Key Logistical Responsibilities:

  • To liaise closely with Directors and Office Management to determine forthcoming business requirements and formulate the future work patterns
  • To deal with all customer enquiries with the highest level of courtesy and effectiveness at all times
  • To assist with order taking, credit control and company credit control procedures. Call taking, email monitoring, email responses. Daily liaison with the Sales Reps
  • To assist the office with monies and payments being received by the company
  • To take full responsibility for Company vehicles/vans (including the forklift)
  • Driver Management/Communications. Last minute order changes. Maximise van loads
  • Route planning. To organise driver rotas, holidays and to arrange cover where necessary
  • Management of temporary staff to cover busy periods, holidays, etc
  • To operate the Xero Accounting System and Cin7 Stock Control
  • To maintain the company paper records system where appropriate
  • To plan despatch schedules (including the routing of delivery vehicles) and communicate these to the staff concerned
  • To undertake deliveries to customers in a safe and secure manner, ensuring that goods are received by the customer to an agreed procedure
  • To provide cover for the Office Management in their absence or at busy periods and to liaise with them in the achievement of the smooth running of the company
  • Supplier Management - Foreign exchange stock purchases. Purchase Price management

Key Warehousing Responsibilities:

  • To accept deliveries using the agreed company checking procedures; to use safe unloading and secure storage procedures
  • To ensure that the warehouse, refrigerator, and foyer areas are kept well maintained and in an orderly and safe condition
  • To manage the stock security system for the warehouse and to liaise with management with regards to stock levels and re-order requirements.
  • To ensure that stock is rotated
  • To maintain computer stock records
  • To ensure that driving techniques are at all times responsible and to a high standard and that delivery vehicles are kept in a clean, serviceable condition

Requirements:

Due to the variable nature of the responsibilities for the position of Warehouse & Logistics Manager this post will suit a multi-skilled, flexible individual who is able to prioritize, meet deadlines and accept responsibility; to show initiative; good numeracy and literacy skills; administration skills; attention to detail; ability to communicate within a team environment and to be able to work alone; have excellent communication skills (written, spoken, and telecommunication); enthusiasm and dedication.

  • Fire Marshall training
  • Health & Safety
  • First aid
  • Forklift driving
